Down Under Sports is pleased to announce that Cameron Summerfield has been invited to represent Idaho on the 2020 Boys Basketball Team. Summerfield will depart for Queensland, Australia on Sunday, July 12 to compete down under for individual honors and a team championship title. Each participant must raise money to cover the cost of the 10 day Australia Tournament Package. Fundraising is an important step to achieve the goal of competing on the international stage.
Summerfield states, “I am currently a senior at Timberline High School. I have been playing varsity basketball for the past four years. Our boys’ basketball is undefeated in our league with only two more games standing between us and state.
“I encourage anyone who can to come and support the Timberline Spartans as we play districts in Lapwai in the next two weeks.
“I look forward to representing Clearwater County and Idaho in Australia this summer. I appreciate any support towards this once in a lifetime opportunity. Anyone who wants to support me can either contact me, or go to my website for Down Under Sports. If you donate, you can also contact me directly and get a ticket for a chance to win a trip for two to Australia or a five-day cruise. Contact me at https://DownUnderSports.com/IEF-JRR”
Down Under Sports was founded in February 1989 based upon the dream of a New Zealander by the name of George O’Scanlon. George fell in love with athletics, especially American football as a young man growing up in his native country of New Zealand. That is why George started the Down Under Bowl which eventually led to the establishment of the Down Under Hoops Classic and the Down Under International Games.
