Timberline’s High School cross country runners competed in the Idaho State Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Pocatello.
Carson Sellers placed fourth out of 78 participating runners. He brought home a medal with a time of 16:47.
The boys’ team ran an inspiring race and placed eighth, moving up two spots from their tenth place seeding.
Steven Young ran a personal best time of 19:16 and placed 37th.
Jude Nelson placed 59th with a time of 20:35.
Cody Bird was 75th with a time of 23:15.
Kyd Bonner had his best race of the year with a 23:30 and a 76th place finish.
Lauren Carr also ran well and placed 43rd in the girls race with a time of 23:21.
Harrison Hill ran in the 2A race for Orofino and placed 78th with a time of 21:23.
This was the first time Timberline competed as a team at the state championships. The experience was amazing and something all of the athletes are willing to work hard to accomplish again. It has been a pleasure coaching this wonderful bunch of athletes. I am very proud of each and every one of them.
