Monday, Sept. 28, marked the third annual Spartan Cross Country Invitational.

Not only were our own runners excited for this event, so were the other teams. The entire course radiated positivity and everything flowed smoothly.

Timberline honored our two seniors, runner Carson Sellers and manager Ethan Jared. Both had their families come out on the course prior to the high school boys’ race and were recognized.

Carson Sellers placed first with a time of 17:49.

Jude Nelson also placed in the top ten with a ninth place finish.  His time was 22:38 in the boy’s 5,000 meter race.

Lauren Carr placed fifth with a time of 25:36 in the girl’s 5,000 meter race.

In the junior high races, Holly Hill (fourth), Ella Beardin (fifth), and Daizy Nelson (eighth) all placed in the top ten in the girl’s 1.7 mile race.

Finally, Clayton Hunter (fifth) and Devyn Sparrow (tenth) placed in the top ten in the boy’s 1.7 mile race.

The teams also did very well.  The High School boys claimed second place. This was their best finish all season. Both the junior high boys’ and girls’ teams placed first. Way to go Spartans!

Timberline XC thoroughly enjoyed hosting this invite and cannot wait for next year.
