Local kids win big at the Grappling Industries Jiu-Jitsu tournament in Boise on June 27. All four double-medaled in their divisions.

Our team, Progressive Jiu-Jitsu of Idaho, based in Orofino, placed ninth in the Kids and Teens team competition out of 51 teams from numerous states with about 1000 kids competing. Landon: Blue gi, 9 years old - first in gi and second in no-gi; Lilly: Pink gi, 11 years old - first in gi, second in no-gi; RJ: Green gi, 12 years old - first in gi, first in no-gi. (RJ remains undefeated in competition, with 15 wins, 14 of them by joint lock or choke submissions.) and Savannah: Blue gi, 15 years old - second in gi and no-gi.
