On a tough weekend shooting for the Camas Prairie 10 Week Shoot the Orofino/Pierce Gun leaped into first place thanks to a pair of their Junior shooters and a pair of Senior Vet shooters posting perfect scores of 25 each.

Juniors Alex Powers and Brayden Turcott along with Senior Vet shooters Joe Eichert and Dave Powers led the charge in taking over first place from the team at Wallace/Kellogg who only posted a 73 on the day.

This puts the gun club one and three quarters of a bird ahead of the second place team from Wallace/Kellogg.

The Junior team also increased their lead over the second place teams from Troy/Deary and Hermiston by six birds opening up a commanding 18 bird lead. After six weeks of competition the club hopes to capitalize on the excitement the Junior program is generating.

The Orofino/Pierce Gun Club would like to remind area shooters the Diehl/Swandic Memorial Registered Shoot is fast approaching. On March 7 the club will be honoring the memory of two of their favorite members Greg Diehl and Lary Swandic.
