Timberline’s High School Cross Country runners competed in the District I/II 1A and 2A meet on Thursday, October 21st in Lewiston. Senior Lauren Carr placed 11th with a season’s best time of 22:55 to punch her ticket to state. This will be her 4th trip representing Timberline at the state meet. Also, Harrison Hill ran for Orofino in the 2A championships and qualified for his second trip. The State Championships will be held at Eagle Island State Park in Eagle, Idaho on October 30th.
Besides Lauren, sister, Kasie Gillum/Carr ran for the girls. She placed 25th running a 27:42. On the boys’ side, freshman Justice Richardson was the first to cross the line with a 28th place finish in 21:35. Not far behind was Kyd Bonner in 31st with a time of 22:08. Running his second best time of the year, Isaiah Wisher came across the line in 42nd place in a time of 29:50.
We are very proud of all our athletes, and are excited to watch our state athletes represent down south.
