The Timberline Spartans beat the Deary Mustangs 30-28 on Friday night, Sept. 25, at Timberline. It was also a Whitepine League Division II prep football game. Chase Hunter rushed for 118 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Spartans.
The Orofino Maniacs kept the Priest River Spartans from scoring any touchdowns in Friday night’s game. Sept. 25 was also Homecoming for the Maniacs. Slade Sneddon had 12 tackles, a fumble recovery, an interception and a pass deflection.
