Orofino’s co-ed soccer team met the Coeur d’Alene Charter boys’ team at Coeur d’Alene Friday, Sept. 10. The Maniacs (0-4-1, 0-4-1) was ahead in the first half, as the two teams went into halftime tied at two. Coeur d’Alene Charter (2-1-2, 2-1-1) pulled ahead in the second 40 minutes.

On Wednesday, Sept. 1, the Timberline Spartan Cross Country team had their first meet of the year. It was a huge success with every runner finishing in the top 18.

Aug. 21 was the last .22 rifle shoot of the year for the Orofino Pierce Gun Club.  They will be starting back up with Shoots starting in March 2022 with at least one a month.  There will be some big improvements done at the range.

Orofino had a strong showing at the 2A State Track Meet held last week in Middleton, with titles from shot-putters Kaylynn Johnson and Reid Thomas, triple-jumper Sydnie Zywina, and Lindi Kessinger, as the two-day meet got underway on a drizzly day Friday, May 21, with winds of up to 20 mph.
