The Orofino High School Volleyball team was done with competing in the Class 2A State Tournament Friday, Nov. 1, after two matches at Rathdrum’s Lakeland High, but that didn’t keep the team from being pressented with an award to be proud of, the 2A Sportsmanship Award.

The meet in Potlatch served as a final tune-up before the high school team goes to districts. The high school runners were the only participants since the junior high was heading to Bi-State later that same week. The team did an amazing job!

The junior high boys rocked Bi-state this year. Six out of the seven runners had personal records at this meet. The only runner exception has been struggling with injuries all season.

Timberline runners ran extremely well at the meet held in the Lewiston orchards on Saturday, Oct. 5. The middle schoolers ran a 3,200 meter race (roughly 2 miles) their longest of the year. Kyd Bonner led the charge by running a 14:20 (7:10 mile pace).

The Timberline Spartans played the Lewis County Eagles in Timberline’s homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 11, with a score of 38 to 34 in Lewis County’s favor, in a Whitepine League Division II game. This gave Lewis County its first win of the season.
