Obit Patricia Joan Williams

Patricia Joan Williams

Patricia Joan Williams, age 79, passed away peacefully May 29, 2019, due to Alzheimer related complications.  She was born June 6, 1939, in Orofino, Idaho to Patricia and Leonard Danner.  She is survived by husband, Rodger Williams.

Joan was raised and resided in Orofino until moving with family to Spokane, WA in 1976.

Upon retirement, Joan and Rodger came back home to Orofino to spend the rest of their days.

Joan loved being outdoors, her cats, taking walks, and tending to her numerous flowers and plants.

She was an avid reader and crossword solver. Her greatest joy was being a mom, grandmother and great grandmother, affectionately known as “Grammy Joan”.

Joan spent most of her adult career as an executive secretary in the real estate field. She will be remembered, within her career, as caring, ultra-responsible, thorough and above all reliable.

Joan is also survived by brother Rick Danner, previous husband Louis Turcott and sons Greg and Jeff Turcott, Scott and Corey Williams and stepdaughter Karla Yeend; grandchildren Somer Carpenter and Colby Turcott, Kristina Hoisington, Larry, Richie and Lisa Turcott, Samantha, Morgan and Logan Turcott, Gabriel Alfrey, Madison Williams and a multitude of great-grandchildren.

Joan loved to love and help people.  She was an absolute kind heart, who asked for nothing in return.  Her smile, devotion to family, and caring personality will be greatly missed, but also remembered and paid forward.

Please join us in celebrating Joan’s memory on Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m., at the Orofino Senior Center (930 Michigan Ave).

We ask that you come with great memories to share and smiles and laughter that she would have wanted and appreciated in this difficult time.
