Judy Ann Stark, 73, of Orofino, ID passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 7, 2020 at Kootenai Medical Center, Coeur D Alene ID of a heart attack.
She was born to Robert Mason Jarvis and Vera Lucille (Jones) on November 29, 1946 in Phoenix AZ. She was the oldest of two sisters, Martha Jarvis and Katherine Jarvis as well as three half siblings, Nancy Jarvis, Michael Jarvis and Cindy Mahoney.
Judy married Wendell Matthew Stark in1963 in Galina, IL at the young age of 16. They were happily married for 56 years. Initially, they lived in Elk River, ID before moving to Headquarters, ID in 1964 where they raised their family and made many lifelong friends. In 1989, they moved to their current residence in Orofino, ID into their home built by Wendell.
Judy was well known for her delicious chocolate chip cookies. I don’t believe there was a child raised in Headquarters that did not know about her cookies and where to find them. Judy loved helping people and worked for a number of years at Compassionate Care, doing home health care for several of her lifelong friends including Vonna (Porky) Collins and Beverly Adams to name a few.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Wendell Stark, as well as two daughters; Jacqueline Chapman (Tim) Auburn, WA, and Annette Reece (Mark Higbee) Spirit Lake, ID. She has two grandsons; Randy Reece Jr (Jennifer) Spirit Lake, ID, and Nicholas Chapman (Kaitlyn) Auburn, WA as well as three granddaughters; Jessica Quiggle Spokane, WA, Rachelle Chapman Avon, IN, and Brianna Chapman Pullman, WA. Judy was also blessed with six great-granddaughters; Gabriella Napolitano, Gracelynn & Emily Reece and Kynslee, Rowen & Brielle Chapman, with the last one being born on the day of her passing. She also has two “adopted” sons, B.J. Mills (nephew) Kearns UT and Gerry Rouleau Ammon, ID as well as a number of other loving relatives.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Martha, and her infant son, Glen Matthew in 1964.
Due to COVID-19, we are unable to have a memorial service but will plan a Celebration of Life at a later date, once the restrictions are lifted. Judy will be laid to rest at Sanders Cemetery, Orofino ID. Arrangements are being made by Pine Hill Cemetery.
