James Walter Herman, 82, passed away Oct. 17, 2020.

James was born July 10, 1938 to Joseph and Rose Herman. He was the fifth of eight children. He graduated from Montrose High School and later became certified in welding.

Jim held a variety of jobs including bill collector, working in the mines, security guard, welder and mechanic. He completed his career as a mechanic for the City of Orofino.

Jim was a communicant of the Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus where he held many offices including two years as the State Deputy for Idaho.

He was an avid reader, enjoyed rose gardening, football (especially Denver Broncos), and cars.

He had an amazing sense of humor and enjoyed life.

He is survived by the love of his life, Dolores (Dee) Herman; a son Jamie Herman and daughter Joanie Herman; his four stepchildren Karin Foss, Theron Wolfe, Tammy Marks, and Ed Wolfe; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Per his request there will be no funeral.
