Alfred “Al” Bedard

Alfred “Al” Bedard passed away on December 21, 2020.

Al was born on January 3, 1936 on the Bedard ranch to Joseph Filias “Phil” and Elva Bedard.

Al was the youngest of 18 children. He attended school at the Bedard school house and would often swim in the Bedard Lake. Bedard ranch was located at La Fleur Washington, East of Monse by Duley Lake on the Colville Indian Reservation.

Al worked in the lumber industry for many years.

Al was a very compassionate person who loved cooking for family gatherings, riding along with his nephew, Jared Brantner to the stock yards and playing his guitar.

He worked on several of the area dams, the last one being in Orofino, were he met and married Rita. They played music in the area living in Orofino and Kamiah.

Al was preceded in death by the loves of his life, Rita and Theresa, his parents Phil and Elva Bedard, siblings Baby Mary Bedard, Albert Bedard, Phillip Bedard, Margaret Lewis, Frank Bedard, Estelle Bedard, Hallie Bedard, Lee Bedard aka Buzzy, Basil Bedard, Ann Agnew, Ralph Bedard aka Wendy, Lela Gilmer, Walter Bedard, Ruth Bedard, Wilbur Bedard and Paul Bedard.

He is survived by two siblings, Roy Bedard aka Bill, and Robert Bedard, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews.
