The Weippe Hilltop Museum will have a Bake Food Sale Wednesday, Sept. 2, on Main Street in Weippe on the grassy side of the Elk Horn Bar, 10 a.m. until goodies are gone. 

We will also have a food booth with hamburgers, hotdogs, chili and nacho’s, with lots of goodies made by our members for sale.  We will have our 2020 calendars for sale featuring our Hilltop Veterans, So be sure and stop by and get lunch and some treats to take home to share with the family.

The Geneology group will meet at the Museum Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. for their regular meeting. Tammy Trieb is in charge and can help you get your ancestry charts started. It is a lot of fun to research your relatives and learn about where they came from and what they did during their lives.

 We have some exciting things happening at the Museum in October and November. We are planning a pumpkin carving contest for ages 1-5, 6-10, 11-14, 15 to adult.

Each category will win $25 cash award. Get your ideas in creating a super pumpkin decorating for the contest. All pumpkins will be entered at the Museum on Saturday, Oct. 26, noon to 3 p.m. Judging will take place and the cash awards will be given at 4 p.m. to the winners.

We will display the pumpkins on Halloween for the trick or treat at the Museum, Halloween, Oct. 31, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

The Museum will be giving out treats to all ages, dress up and join the fun at the Museum.

Monday, Oct. 28, we start our Bunko at the Museum at 11 a.m. Bring finger foods to share and prizes to win for the winners of Bunko. We have Bunko October thru May last Monday of the month at the Museum at 11 a.m. Mark your calendars. Nov. 11, Veterans Day be will celebrated with the flags on the Museum Lawn honoring our Veterans that are buried at the Weippe Cementary. We will have Bake food sale and food booth with Chili hot dogs, chili and Nacho’s. All Veterans eat free!   Mark your calendars.

The Museum is now open Fridays and Saturdays noon to 4 p.m. until the end of October. Get in to see the Lookout display on loan from Michal Beck until end of October and the Heywood Pioneer spotlight Display.
