There will be a Genealogy Meeting at the Weippe Hilltop Museum, May 16 at 1 p.m.  Tammy Trieb will be helping you research your family history.  Come learn and have a good time.

The Weippe Hilltop Museum will be opening May 24, Friday noon to 4 p.m. for the 2019 season and Saturday 10-4 p.m. with a bake food sale and a food booth serving hot dogs, chili, nacho’s, pizza and pie (by the slice), drinks and free coffee to all.

Come tour the Museum, eat and enjoy sitting and visiting on our deck.

On Sunday we will be open noon to 4 p.m. with the drawing at 3 p.m. You do not have to be present to win, but if you are, you can choose the item you want when your name is drawn from a list of 30 plus items donated by local businesses.

Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. You can get your tickets from a staff member or at the Elk Horn in Weippe.

The staff is working on a new display from now until opening time. We have received a collection of local hilltop lookouts from Michal Beck, on loan for this year only. There are some rare and one of a kind photos. The Museum thanks Michal for this loan.

The Heywood family is our pioneer spotlight this year.

We are introducing our 2020 calendar, “Hilltop Heroes” honoring more of our hilltop veterans at our opening.  We have updated our Veterans flip board with past and present “Hilltop Heroes” honoring our Veterans.

We also have Weippe Hilltop T-Shirts for sale and we are working on Weippe Hilltop Cups.

You will not want to miss a visit to the Museum this year.  Bring your friends and families visiting from out of town, family reunions, class reunions we will always meet your needs for dates.
