A Lifetime membership to the Weippe Hilltop Museum was presented to Millie Morris, Manager of the Elk Horn Bar, for all the many things she does for our Museum. She is always there to help with bake food sales, supplying a venue, ice, electricity and baked goodies. She always supports us by selling our yearly calendars, raffle tickets etc. The museum board voted to honor her this year with a lifetime membership to say thanks for all you do for us. Millie is no stranger to the Weippe area, she was raised here and graduated from Timberline High School. She supports all community activities, fund raisers, and school activities. If you see Millie thank her for her community support.

Bunko is here again at the Museum, starting, Monday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. Bring yourself and some snacks to share and have a great time, visiting, laughing, munching on snacks. If you do not know how to play that is ok, we will teach you, it is very simple if you can add and roll the dice. Hope to see you on Monday at the Museum at 11a.m.

We have 2019 calendars available at the Museum, Elk Horn Bar, Cyndy’s Coffee Shop in Weippe andBanner Bank in Orofino for $10. 2019 theme is “Beauty on the Hilltop”, with some beautiful color scenes and animals. Photos are taken by local photographers.

We are starting on the calendar for 2020. We have been asked to do another honoring our Veterans “Hilltop Heroes”. If you would like to be in this calendar or include a loved one that has passed, contact Sally Marks 208-435-4346.

We like photos of Veterans in uniform if possible and a current photo of family, medals received, areas served, War and time served and of course stories to share of your experiences. Contact Sally or leave a message at the Museum 208-435-4200. We will start the procedure and help you or your loved one.

Just so you know, we need the proof to the printer by March that is why we start now. Hope to hear from you Veterans and families of Veterans soon.

Hope everyone on the hilltop is enjoying our mild winter and keeping warm. My prediction is watch out for February, Bald Mountain and skiers will be HAPPY!
