Tickets for the Clearwater Memorial Public Library’s (CMPL)Shindig 3 will remain on sale at the library until Friday morning, closing at noon, for this year’s annual summer fundraiser benefiting the Clearwater Memorial Public Library’s major expansion project.

The focus for this event’s fundraiser will be the expansion and enhancement of the much-needed children’s section, which is seriously overcrowded and without many needed features.

Plans call for adding a crafting area with its own sink and plumbing for a children’s and family restroom in addition to more story time space and more accessible shelves for youngsters to reach books.

Library Director Cleo Castellanos has been giving informal tours to everyone interested in the project’s progress, and showing where the new children’s section will be placed, which will be at the opposite end of the library where it is situated now.

Shindig 3 will open at 6 p.m. this Saturday, June 29, at the High Country Inn, on the way to Dworshak Dam.  Each $40 ticket entitles the bearer to a full BBQ dinner and either a glass of wine or a beer.

A no-host bar will also be open with a wide assortment of drinks.  Iced tea, lemonade, iced water, and coffee are included with the meal. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a great variety of prizes, as well as participate in a wine pull and chances on 50/50 drawings. Auction prizes will include a never-worn genuine Stetson hat, a chance to have a custom sewn western shirt, original stoneware by artist Ruth Root, and several trips around the region.

The traditional pie auction will be a part of the evening, a photo booth will be open and live music will keep everyone entertained.  Everyone in the community is invited to support this very worthwhile event to help raise funds for our community library! Tickets may be purchased between 9 am and 6 p.m. today through Friday morning until noon.
