Burglary suspect apprehended

Burglary suspect Joseph C. Phillips of Clarkston.

According to a Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office report, on Thursday, May 7, the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office responded to Finke Logging’s shop on Bald Mountain Road to investigate a burglary of the business. Multiple tool items were stolen from the shop.

During the course of the investigation some of the stolen items were recovered from a Lewiston area pawn shop.

According to the report, the suspect, Joseph C. Phillips, 47, of Clarkston, WA was located with the assistance of the Lewiston Police Department.

Phillips was also found to be in possession of stolen property from other burglaries in the Clearwater County area as well.

Investigation is ongoing and additional charges pending.
