The Joint School District 171 Spelling Bee was held at Timberline on Monday, Feb. 10.  Eight students competed for the first and second District champion title. Going 20 rounds and finally winning first place with the word, Dulcinea was Kyd Bonner from Timberline Schools. Second place champion was Caleb Potratz from Orofino Elementary School.

The Thirty-fifth Annual Inland Northwest Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m. in the Williams Conference Center on the Lewis-Clark State College campus. The Lewiston Tribune, LCSC, and St. Joseph Regional Medical Center are the co-sponsors of this event.
