Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy (IDYCA) Update! Graduation for class 20-21 will be a bit different than a normal graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 issues. IDYCA will hold an online graduation event that will be live streamed from the Academy’s Facebook page on Friday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Only staff and Cadets will be able to attend.
The Deputy Director, Melissa Brouwers has advised that parents DO NOT need to travel to Pierce to pick up their Cadet after the class completion. Cadets will be transported to regional locations where their families will pick them up in keeping with the practices of safety for all involved.
Closed campus remains on going for Class 20-2 which means very limited activities so, we encourage all of our supporters to send snail mail to the Cadets. If you know someone in the class, simply address your letter with their first and last name to the address below.
If you would like to send a note of encouragement for any young person that may not receive mail, please address the envelope to “Any Cadet.” (Youth CAN send and receive mail during Acclimation, and every day until graduation.) Our address is: IDYCA 117 Timberline Dr. Pierce, ID 83546. You may follow the Academy’s Facebook page to see the progress of the class and also achievements from former Cadets. Their Facebook page is NGYCP Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy.
