Timberline Schools

Welcome back staff and students from Winter Break. After a much need break, the Spartans are ready to get back at it with a busy schedule.

Wednesday, Jan. 6, the High School Boys Basketball have practice at 6 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 7, the High School Boys’ Varsity only basketball team will host St. John Bosco, game time starts at 6 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 8, the HS Boys Basketball will travel to Prairie. The bus leaves at 2:30, with the JV game starting at 6 p.m. and Varsity starting at 7:30 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 11, the High School Boys Basketball will travel to compete against Logos with their bus leaving at 3 p.m., the JV game starting at 6 p.m. and the Varsity game at 7:30 p.m. While the boys travel out of town for their away game, the girls will be home hosting Clearwater Valley with their game starting at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 12, the High School boys’ basketball will have practice at 6 p.m.

Timberline Schools would like to thank Brian Holt and Amy Felder for organizing the 12 days of Christmas raffle and donating the proceeds to Timberline Schools.

The raffle brought in over $1000. A Thank you to all the businesses who supported the fundraiser with all their wonderful donations.

Timberline is currently ranked fourth in Idaho Schools of Excellence! Timberline students are excelling in competition and in the classroom! Way to go Timberline, keep up the great work.

Pierce News

The hearts of the Pierce and Weippe communities are heavy and saddened with the loss of their friend and neighbor Leslie Potratz, on Sunday at her home with family by her side. Please keep her husband, children, and family in your thoughts and prayers in their time of need. The community will indeed miss her and all she brought to it.

Open Pool


Dec. 30 pool tournament at the Elk Horn in Weippe ended with Roger Buck Jared in first place, Kerry Anderson in second place, and Ron Smith Sr. in third.

The pool tournament on Jan. 2 at the Timber Inn showed Alan Mee in first, Bud Wilson in second, and Matthew Hagele in third place.

The first pool league game off the year took place Sunday, Jan. third at Miss Lilly’s against Elkhorn2. Winners are had yet to be announced at the time of submission to the paper.

Pierce Community Center

With the start of the New Year, the Community Center wants to update rental agreements with active users. If you have keys and/or renting the community center or any of its rooms, please contact Brandy IN person to get rental agreements updated or keys turned in. They would like to have all agreements updated before the end of January.

As of Nov. 30, the center started closing at 7 p.m. instead of 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, the center will be open at 8 a.m. while still closing at 6 p.m.

The community center is also seeking ideas from the community on what they would like to see happen from the community center. Stop in and visit with the new manager, or email mrsfs24@gmail.com with your thoughts or ideas to help our center become what the community would like to see.
