A special thank you going out to Sam Allen, Jim McManus and Don Rayner for the time and hard work they put into getting the J.H. Bradbury Memorial Logging Museum’s front porch roof rebuilt. The heavy February snows had taken down the porch roof and these gentlemen volunteered their time and had it rebuilt in just a couple of days! A month before, volunteers and some of our local IDYCA Cadets helped to clear out the collapsed roof. Now the museum will be ready for its summer visiting hours.

The Museum is holding their Annual Membership Drive. Membership is only $15.00 and you are helping to support the museum, you receive a limited edition lapel pin and recognition. The 2019 lapel pin features a photo of Bill Maki, owner of Maki Manufacturing and longtime community supporter!

For more information please contact Laura Mason at (208)435-4121 and membership monies may be mailed to Laura Mason 239 Woods Rd Weippe, ID 83553.

Clearwater County Ambulance

Clearwater County Ambulance is in dire need of Emergency Medical Responders (EMR) they hire and train! You can be trained in one month, online class accessible from anywhere; great way to make some extra cash, flexible schedules, High School students qualify, minimum age is 16.

The shifts are 12 hours. They go from 0600 (6 a.m.) to 1800 (6 p.m.) and then 1800 to 0600. When you sign up for a shift, that means you are on call for that set period of time.

You’re responsible to respond to your station within the allotted amount of time and run the call. You will get paid for being on call during those 12 hours. The rate is a flat $10 for the 12-hour period. This is NOT $10 per hour for the 12 hours. It’s $10 for the entire 12 hours. And that’s ONLY if you don’t get a call.

If you DO get a call during your shift, that’s when the $12.66 per hour comes into play. You get that hourly rate with a 2-hour minimum and then real time after the first 2 hours.

Meaning, if your call takes you 1.5 hours to complete, you get paid for 2 hours. If it takes 3 hours to complete, you get paid for 3 hours. And finally, if you do get an ambulance call during your shift, that negates the $10 of standby pay. You won’t get the standby pay, but you will be paid for the hours that you’re on the run, which works out to be more than the standby pay. Please email Molly Stanley for more information at mstanley@clearwatercounty.org .
