Loggers Safety Class

Safety class will be held on Wednesday, March 13 from 7 a.m.-12 noon at the Pierce Community Center. There will also be FREE health screenings offered on site. They will be offering Blood Pressure testing, A1C (blood sugar) and Fit Test. They will also have other health screening information available.

Bald Mtn Ski Hill

This will be the last weekend to get your skiing/snowboarding in! They are open Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17. Come hit the family friendly slopes and enjoy our little gem of a Ski Hill.

Orofino Motorcycle Club, LLC and Bald Mtn present the Snowbike Event Saturday, March 23. Snowbike Hare Scramble, 1 0n 1 Hill Climb Drag Race Shootout. Signup is at 8-9 a.m, practice 10 a.m., Hare Scramble 11 a.m., Hill Climb 1 p.m., Awards 3 p.m. Hare Scramble: Pro-$50, Amateur-$40. Hill Climb: Men/Women $25 Winner takes all!

ART in APRIL at Studio 205

Studio 205 Gallery is offering ART LESSONS for elementary (8 and above) and middle school students. It will be a 3-Friday course on April 5, 12, and 26. Elementary students will attend 10-11:30 and middle schoolers will attend 1-2:30pm. The cost of the 3 sessions will be $40 and will cover Drawing skills,

Painting skills and an outdoor session (weather permitting). All supplies are included. Each student will finish the course with an original canvas and a framed still life drawing. Lent Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 611 South Main in Pierce. All are welcome! Soup and bread supper will be served on the following Wednesdays at 6 p.m. with the Devotion at 6:45 p.m. March 13, 20, 27, April 3 and 10. Please plan on joining us. St. Paddy’s Day

This celebration will be on Saturday, March 16 at the Timber Inn. They will be serving corned beef, cabbage and pasta salads starting at 10 a.m. Karaoke by Abagail starting at 7 p.m. Come join the fun!

Timberline Cross Country

The TCC team is holding a raffle for a Lewiston/Clarkston Fun Package! Winner will receive a $50 for Village Centre Cinemas, $130 for Quality Inn Hotel, $50 for Applebee’s Restaurant and $20 for Dutch Brothers! Drawing will be held March 20 so get your tickets soon!

Spring Break Skate

Friday, March 22 the Pierce Community Center will hold a special Skate Night from 5-8 p.m. Entry will be $5 ($2 for kids 5 and under). We will serve hot dogs, goodies and punch. Come kick-off Spring Break with some skating fun! Call (208)464-2443 for more information.

Masquerade Ball

A masquerade ball will be held on Saturday, April 27 at Miss Lily’s Gold Rush Saloon from 8-11 p.m. As always it will be 21 and over only. First drink will be free and horderves available. The bar and limited kitchen items will be open for purchase as well. $35 per couple for entry will be to benefit the community as always!

Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy (IDYCA)

Family Day has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Home Pass will be happening over the Memorial Day weekend, Thursday, May 23-28.

The Cadets will be doing some of their PT time at the Pierce Community Center after a flood in the building caused damage to the Academy’s gym floor. They will be making repairs soon.

Letters of encouragement are always welcome and they will be passed on to those cadets that may not receive mail from home. Pierce/Weippe Pool League

Sunday, March 10 results were; Timber 2 @ Lucky 2, 11/5 Lucky 2’s favor. Elkhorn 1 @ Timber 1, 8/8. Lucky 1 @ Elkhorn 2, 8/8. Hope everyone had a good time. Good job everyone!

Pool Tournaments

Tournaments are open to the public and will be held on Thursday nights at Miss Lily’s and Friday and Saturday nights at the Timber Inn starting at 6 p.m. bar time. Results for last week were; Thursday 3/7, Alan Mee 1st place, James Hagele 2nd and Def Dave took 3rd. They played some good pool. Nice job guys! Friday 3/8, Kathy Wilson-Dill took 1st place, Carl Young 2nd place and James Crocker 3rd place. Kathy Dill says “sorry Carl Young”, she knows you wanted to keep your 1st place title before you hit the road again but her name is looking pretty good there this week! Saturday 3/9 results; Mike Crocker 1st, Troy Manz 2nd and James Crocker 3rd. Good job guys!

Pierce Community Center and Pool News

During Spring Break we will hold a special Skate Night on Friday, March 22 from 5-6 p.m. and then March 25-29, Monday-Friday, the Center will be open from 1-6 p.m. Judo will be Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-7 p.m. (No Judo during Spring Break). AAU Basketball practice has come to a finish for the season. Thank you coaches for your time with the kids! IDYCA Cadets will be getting a little gym time in here at the Center while their gym floor is being repaired after a flooding incident at the Academy. The Center will be open from 3-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 1-6 p.m. on Fridays unless we have skating or an event planned. On Mondays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. we have Yoga classes. If you have a meeting, event or party you would like to plan please call ahead for scheduling. We have lots of room, tables, chairs and kitchen facilities to meet your needs.
