Dear Editor:

The members of the Lenore Community Center would like to send KUDOS to all the crews that have helped curtail the wildfires in this region. We know there have been many crews and many volunteers that have assisted with getting the fires under control

We grieve the loss of homes lost, reportedly (13), vehicles (23), 31 outbuildings and other personal losses.

We are grateful that there has been no loss of life, to our knowledge.

We are grateful that folks have come together in a time of crisis to do what they can do with personal equipment and time: loggers, farmers and others.

The fire season is not over and we all hope and pray that weather will put a stop to the inferno we are witnessing.
