Dear Editor:

I am privileged to write this letter in support of the candidacy of Dennis Fuller for Clearwater County District 2 Commissioner. Dennis and I have been friends since his return to Idaho in 2000 to take care of Judy’s father, then his father and then her mother in their elder years. I know Dennis to be a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and son.

Dennis is very community minded, and is an active participant in civic organizations in Clearwater County. As such he is intimate with the needs of the citizens of our area.

Having myself served on the Board of Commissioners, I am very aware of the related tasks and responsibilities and I feel Dennis has the qualifications, common sense and desire for public service to fulfill those duties.

We have, on many occasions, discussed the money from Secure Schools and Rural Funding (Craig-Wyden) Funds and the importance of these funds to help with state and federal land (in lieu of taxes) funding to the county. This is especially needed for law enforcement and Search and Rescue.

Dennis and I have discussed at length the plight of joblessness in our county. I know that one of Dennis’ greatest concerns is the creation of jobs and the financial vitality of the entire Clearwater region. He will spare no effort to improve the economic viability of our county.

I urge all voters to elect Dennis Fuller to the Board of Commissioners so that he may provide the residents of Clearwater County with the excellent public service they deserve.
