Dear Editor:

We wanted to bring the people of Orofino an issue we had with a local pharmacy that may impact you at one time or another. On Friday, Dec. 30 we went to pick up a necessary prescription and they closed early and wouldn’t re-open until Tuesday, Jan. 2. When they said they were building a pharmacy here everyone, including healthcare providers, assumed incorrectly that a prescription phoned into their pharmacy here in Orofino would be available at other drugstores owned by them. We found out after driving to Kamiah that each store is independent of each other and has their own computer system.
