The Lolo Trail Muzzleloader Club is holding their Annual Spring Fling this Saturday, May 1. This is a black powder, patched, and round ball firearms event and we are inviting shooters, spectators, and traders to come join us for a fun filled day. The main events are a rifle/pistol trail walk, hawk/knife throw, and rifle paper target shoot, held at Wolverton’s Cabin, 2852 Wells Bench Rd., Orofino, Idaho. The gate will open at noon on Friday for whomever would like to camp. Pets are welcome, but must be on leashes.

Registration opens at 9 a.m. with start time shortly thereafter. The fee is only $10 per participant. Awards will be handed out to top three Mountain Men, Mountain Women, and Junior Trappers. Extra points are awarded for dressing in 1800 attire, but doing so is not mandatory.

As extra fun, join in the “Running Deer” shoot. This is a moving deer target and the fee is $1 per round, unlimited shoots and winner gets half the pot! There will be other non-shooting games going on for anyone who would like to participate, at additional cost.

The club will be providing a main dish for potluck style lunch, we just ask you please bring a side dish of your desire to share. Shooting trails will be closed by 3 p.m., then we will have the award ceremony wrap up the day.

Mark your calendars for their next event, the 45th Annual Rendezvous July 16-18!
