Library news

This bonus craft, a choice of making a dinosaur egg or making your own fossil, is for those who have completed all four levels of the summer reading program.

Summer reading program is quickly wrapping up at the Clearwater Memorial Public Library. Participants have until July 31 to complete as many levels as possible. Remember a minimum of four days of reading per level.

For those who have completed all four levels, when you come back in to pick up your finished bookmark, you will also receive a bonus craft, your choice of making a dinosaur egg or making your own fossil. Both are pretty cool!

Our library has been selected to participate in the 2021 season of ICfL’s “Let’s Talk About It” program. This will be a series of three book discussions, led by a program scholar. Our chosen theme addresses the paradox of growing older, growing wiser. These programs will be hosted late in the fall, through early January. Watch for more details in the coming months.

We are doing our best to keep up with the air quality conditions in our area with our colorful flags flying outside the front door. We also have a computer set up so you can come in and see how the air quality program works.

A few new items to note this week: Wrath of Poseidon by Clive Cussler; Aiming for Love by Mary Connealy; The Fortunes & Vicissitudes of Stern Whitman by Derek Burnett, a LP Western.
