Fit and Fall Proof classes

Fit and Fall Proof classes will begin Oct. 5 at the IOOF Hall in Weippe.

Fit and Fall Proof Classes are sponsored by Idaho State Public Health Department who provides training and support to volunteer leaders. We have six leaders that have completed the training which was led by Kate Wilson from the North Central Health Office in Lewiston. Classes are offered at many locations throughout the State and Weippe is one of those locations. This will be the third year that classes have been offered.

Have you noticed you’re not as stable on your feet, or it’s gotten tougher to get around? Well this is just the class for you. We spend a total of 60 minutes working on exercises that are specific to balance, mobility and strength. We provide a safe friendly program designed with the older adult in mind with the goal of improving your strength, balance and mobility. These classes are designed and developed to help reduce the risk of falling. And did I mention the classes are FREE.
