According to a Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) report, CCSO, Orofino Ambulance and Rescue 3 all responded to a single vehicle injury accident involving a car hitting a tree which had fallen into the roadway on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 4:46 p.m.

The crash was near mile marker 49.5 on Highway 12. Carol Reuben, 49, of Kooskia, was eastbound on Highway 12 when she struck a large tree laying across the road.

Reuben, the only occupant in the vehicle, was wearing her seatbelt. She suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino by Orofino Ambulance for treatment.

The vehicle was towed and the remaining tree removed from the roadway.
