Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce announces the director position has been filled. Erica Holland has accepted as part-time director and we are excited to move ahead with planning events and support of our members. October events already underway: Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. in the OJSHS Gym is a meet the candidate event, with a chance to hear a little about each of the candidates with contests on the Nov. 2 ballots in Clearwater County; Oct. 29 from 5-7 p.m. Orofino Trick or Treat Rocking the Street on Johnson Ave will be a fun and safe time for community to meet and enjoy Halloween festivities.
Dec. 3 is the annual Orofino Christmas Lighting and planning has started with great hopes for community involvement. Anyone interested in helping with lighting the parks or helping with the parade are encouraged to email or call the chamber and get signed up. The first planning meeting is set for Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Fiesta En Jalisco.
Nov. 3, at noon, in the Ponderosa Banquet Room is the quarterly General Membership meeting. This meeting will be nominations for candidates to fill board positions for 2022 and a greeting of new business members in the community.
We are happy to announce our membership is growing! With gatherings limited this year due to fires, Covid concern, and the change of director we were not able to do “Welcome” photos until this week. There are some great businesses in our area! Look them up or drop in and become a patron.
With the Chamber now representing all of our towns in Clearwater County, we have opportunity for positive gains for the greater good. Our website is updated and receiving good reviews. Check it out at clearwatercountyadventures.com and let us know what you think. We also have a new email to complete the county-wide Chamber representation.
To contact us email 6CDirector@gmail.com or call 208-476-4335. Our planning is underway for a new Clearwater County Adventure Guide, we hope to have printed early 2022.
Membership is not limited to businesses. Anyone can join the Chamber and support our local merchants. Making our beautiful community sustainable is all of our hopes.
