Paul Nelson has submitted an application to Orofino City Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission for a Special Use request at 1229 Michigan Avenue and/or 1230 Vida Avenue. Pursuant to Established Procedure, Orofino City Code 11-2-13 Special Uses, the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. at Orofino City Hall, 217 First Street, in Orofino.

The purpose of the hearing is to make a recommendation to the City Council on the Special Use Application. The City Council will make the final decision at the regular scheduled meeting on Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 217 Fist Street.

Summary of application

Nelson is requesting the Council to allow the placement and use of a single wide manufactured home for residential living within the Mixed Use District (MXD) Sales and Service and R-2 Single Family Residence.

Single Wide Manufactured Homes are not permitted outright therefor this type of request is required to be a Special Use per City Code of Orofino Title 11 Chapter 2 Section 6-B and 11-2-4-C.

This property is located at 1229 Michigan Avenue and 1230 Vida Avenue, Orofino Home Tracts Subdivision Lot7 and Lot 6 less west five feet, Block 7, Orofino, ID, and zoned (MXD) Mixed Use District.
