The Clearwater Ski Club depends on volunteers to keep Bald Mtn Ski Area operating and affordable.

We are pleased to celebrate and share recent contributions from AVISTA and our skiing community!

On Friday, June 12 AVISTA employees, Chad Steinbrueker and Mike Knight  brought their families, (Leah, Kinglsey & Jovie and Carrie) an AVISTA truck, trailer, chainsaws, splitting mauls and peavey’s.  Armed with earplugs, gloves and positive energy the crew helped the Ski Club process the upcoming seasons’ stove wood.

Ski Club volunteers: Sam and Chris, John Allen, Brian and Mary Palmer, Jim McManus, Joel and Joseph Harrison and Mike Cook (ret. AVISTA employee/avid skier) all pitched in to help.

Within four hours the group cut, split, haled and stacked enough wood to feed the ski area’s wood stoves to heat the lodge, & rental shop!
