Artisans at the Dahmen Barn hosts “The Wood Show 2020” over twenty wood artists from the Inland Northwest display woodwork from traditional to the avant-garde. the month of August, the Exhibit Opens Saturday Aug. 1, 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. some of the artists will be present. The Exhibit continues through Aug. 30.

Every two years with the help of Jim Christiansen a premier wood turning exhibit is curated from woodworkers creating functional and decorative unique objects some from the most beautiful varieties of wood. Christiansen a retired school administrator from Moscow, Idaho has mentored many aspiring woodworkers. Artisans at the Dahmen Barn has hosted the exhibit every two years since 2012 and each year the quality and the complexity are outstanding. Beginning to internationally represented wood artists are represented.

Techniques include traditional woodturning, carving, pyrography, laminating and enhancing with epoxy resins. All Techniques highlight the natural organic qualities of the different species of wood the artists collect from all over the world.
