The Board of Clearwater County Commissioners approved and signed the Letter of Support to Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness for Clearwater County Ambulance District requesting for a new ambulance vehicle at their March 11 meeting.
Sheriff Goetz provided a report from his department. The Board approved and signed the Recreation Boating Safety Grant.
The Board left the office to complete the Ballot Accuracy Test in the Law Library (downstairs). Clerk Carrie Bird demonstrated the ballot counting with the test deck of voted ballots. Board of Commissioners, Commissioner Assistant Michelle Donner, Social Service Director Debbie Haskins, Deputy Clerks JoAnn Davis and Jessica Bonds attended the test demonstration.
Dave Holland and Pam Jones reported on the road crew work. Holland discussed the Notice to Bidders for road oil and Orofino Creek Bridge.The Board approved to advertise the Notices for Road Oil and Orofino Creek Bridge in the newspaper.
Bill Warren from the Extension Office met with the Board to give an update on the Extension happenings. Also attending the meeting was 4-H Erin Rodgers. He gave a list of his Extension and 4-H updates from December 17, 2018 to February 25, 2019.
The Board approved and signed expense and payroll claims.
February/March 2019 expense claims were approved and ordered to be paid in the following amounts: Current Expense-$118,644.72; Road & Bridge-$75,910.43; Ambulance-$32,225.51; District Court-$21,511.33; Consolidated Elections-$1,830.39; Justice Fund-$37,464.12; Drug Court-$5,157.65; Health District-$16,428.75; Social Services-$68,234.46; Junior College Tuition-$500.00; Parks and Recreation-$249.50; Revaluation-$3,621.50; Enhanced 911-$9,472.14; Solid Waste-$53,406.72; Current Expense Tort-$34,462.50; Weeds-$1,157.36; Waterways-$274.26; Dent Bridge Trust-$44.74; Insurance & Grants-$1,377.10; Odyssey Court Trust-$6,736.85; Timberline Trust-$425.41. Total expenses for February/March were $489,135.44.
There were two executive sessions held to discuss indigents and personnel that are exempt from disclosure. Present were Chairman Rick Winkel and Commissioners John Smith and Mike Ryan.
