Clearwater County Clerk Carrie Bird met with the Board of Clearwater County Commissioners at their meeting held Monday, May 20, to discuss the Budget Request Submittals from various Departments. The Board picked July 16, 17 and 18 to have the Budget Work Sessions for the 2020 Budget.
The Board left the office to complete the Ballot Accuracy Test in the Auditor/Clerk’s Office. Clerk Carrie Bird demonstrated the ballot counting with the test deck of voted ballots.
Clearwater County Economic Development Director Chris St. Germaine met with the Board to get approval on the FY2020 EDPRO Rural Economic Development Professional Grant. The Board approved the grant.
The Board approved the motion to pass Resolution No. 19-05-04 declaring a destruction of records.
The Board approved and signed expense and payroll claims.
April/May 2019 expense claims were approved and ordered to be paid in the following amounts: Current Expense-$47,550.04; Road & Bridge- $63,689.79; Ambulance-$16,173.77; District Court-$24,702.00; Consolidated Elections-$7,521.25; Justice Fund-$143,790.72; Drug Court-$698.03; Social Services-$25,718.70; Parks and Recreation-$112.22; Revaluation-$319.97; Enhanced 911-$14,566.10; Solid Waste-$54,174.13; Weeds-$30,576.12; Snowmobile-$11,619.00; Waterways-$5,193.66; Dent Bridge Trust-$44.74; Capital Trust-$9,982.00; Insurance & Grants-$12,310.24; CAT Trust Fund- $6,466.42; Sex Offender-$280.00; Odyssey Court Trust-$5,315.65. Total expenses for April/May were $480,804.55.
There were two executive sessions held to discuss indigents and personnel that are exempt from disclosure. Present were Chairman Rick Winkel and Commissioners John Smith and Mike Ryan.
