Clerk Carrie Bird met with the Board of Clearwater County Commissioners on April 15 to discuss the Public Defender Grant Application for FY2020. The Board approved and signed the Indigent Defense Grant Application for FY2020.

Road and Bridge employees Dave Holland and Pam Jones reported on the road crew work. Holland recommends accepting Idaho Asphalt Supply, Inc. bid for road oil. The Board accepted Idaho Asphalt Supply ‘s bid for road oil.

The Board held a public bid opening for Upper Fords Creek Road Safety and Pavement Improvement. The bids were taken under advisement.

The Board approved and signed expense and payroll claims.

March/April 2019 expense claims were approved and ordered to be paid in the following amounts: Current Expense-$42,112.10; Road & Bridge-$70,855.16; Ambulance-$5,741.01; District Court-$4,527.36; Consolidated Elections-$908.50; Justice Fund-$113,351.93; Fair County-$205.00; Drug Court-$1,277.28; Historical Society and Museum-$10,000.00; Social Services-$132,005.23; Parks and Recreation-$273.88; Revaluation-$1,947.93; Enhanced 911-$5,450.21; Solid Waste-$29,127.75; Weeds-$5,951.53; Waterways-$3,399.58; Dent Bridge Trust-$44.74; Insurance & Grants-$16,630.83; Disaster Declaration-$6,150.00; Court Trust-$6,467.32. Total expenses for March/April were $456,427.34.

There were four executive sessions held to discuss indigents and personnel that are exempt from disclosure. Present were Chairman Rick Winkel, Commissioner Mike Ryan and Commissioner John Smith telephoned in.
