Clearwater County Commissioner Mike Ryan attended the Award Presentation from Idaho Transportation Department recently. The Sheriff Department and Clearwater County received an award for Shifting Toward Zero STAR Award. In recognition of the continued commitment, accomplishments, dedication and emphasis of the vision Shifting Toward Zero on Idaho’s roads and for achieving zero traffic fatalities during the calendar year 2018 in the County of Clearwater. Sheriff Chris Goetz provided a report from the department at the Clearwater County Board of Commissioners meeting held April 22.

A request for a road name for Potlatch Deltic and Travis and Olivia Compton is being requested, for a road name of Eagle Crest Drive and Gold Rush Drive. The Board approved and signed the request for two road names.

The Board approved and signed expense and payroll claims.

There were five executive sessions held to discuss indigents and personnel that are exempt from disclosure. Present were Chairman Rick Winkel and Commissioners John Smith and Mike Ryan.
