This coming Sunday, Oct. 27, is referred to as Reformation Sunday. For Lutherans it represents the nailing of the “Ninety-five Theses/grievances” on the door of All Saints church in Wittenberg, Germany, by Martin Luther in 1517. This event sparked what is known today as the “Reformation”.

The liturgical color of the day is red, which represents the Holy Spirit and the Martyrs of the Christian Church.

We invite everyone to worship with us this Sunday. Service starts at 9 a.m. There will be a special pot-luck following the service.

The Ascension Lutheran Church is located at 215 115th Street, Orofino.
