NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CLEARWATER COUNTY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 6:00 pm, a public hearing will be held before the Clearwater County Planning and Zoning Commission in Courtroom 1 located in the Clearwater County Courthouse, 150 Michigan Avenue, Orofino, Idaho, as the recommending board to consider the below action item. The Board of County Commissioners of Clearwater County as governing will make a final decision on the below action item at their regular scheduled meeting on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 11:30 am in the Commissioner’s Office located in the Clearwater County Courthouse at 150 Michigan Avenue, Orofino, ID.

(ZA20220116) A Zoning Amendment to the Clearwater County Zoning Ordinance 35B removing the definition of Quarrying-The removal of one thousand (1000) cubic yards or more of rock, stone, gravel, sand, top-soil, or other natural material from the earth by excavation, stripping, leveling or any other process; and replacing it with: Quarry-Land intended to be used for the removal of one thousand (1000) cubic yards or more of rock, stone, gravel, sand, top-soil, or other natural material either immediately or over a period of time, from the earth, by excavation, stripping, or any other process. If land not initially intended for removal of 1000 cubic yards of material as described herein is subsequently either used in a manner, or intended to be used in a manner, so as to exceed the 1000 cubic yard limitation when accumulating the volume of all prior removed material together with all future intended material removal, it shall be considered a quarry and regulated as described herein.
