Notice is hereby given that Clearwater County Ambulance District has submitted an application to Orofino City Planning and Zoning Commission for a Special Use request at 1195 Riverside Avenue. Pursuant to Established Procedure, Orofino City Code 11-2-13 Special Uses, the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on January 19, 2021, at 6:00 P.M. at Orofino City Hall, 217 First Street, Orofino Idaho. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to make a recommendation to the City Council on the Special Use Application. The City Council will make the final decision at their regular scheduled City Council Meeting on February 9, 2021, at 6:00 P.M. in the council chambers at Orofino City Hall 217 First Street.

Special Use Application is a request from Clearwater County Ambulance District to allow the placement and use of Two (2) single wide manufactured homes for dormitory housing for extended shift work for Paramedics and EMT’s. To include Three (3) full service Recreational Vehicle (RV) parking spaces for short term temporary ambulance and emergency responding personal use. The use of Single Wide Manufactured Homes and Recreational Vehicles for any type of residential use, full time or part time is not permitted outright in the Public (P) zone and therefore this type of request is required to be a Special Use per City Code of Orofino Title 11 Chapter 2 Section 9-A. The property is located at 1195 Riverside Avenue, Orofino, Idaho, Section 1, 36N, 1E tax#3100. The public is invited to submit oral or written comments.
