The prosecution alleges jealousy and rage over a boyfriend led to the murder of Samantha Fignani on May 22, 2017. Clearwater County Prosecutor E. Clayne Tyler alleges Jessica Colpitts, 33, shot and killed Fignani in a jealous rage over her involvement with Colpitts’ former boyfriend, Savij “Jojo” Walker.
The first degree murder trial began this Wednesday, March 13, for Jessica L. Colpitts, of Orofino. Colpitts is accused of shooting Samantha S. Fignani, 23, also of Orofino, on May 22, 2017. Judge for the jury trial is Gregory FitzMaurice, with the trial being held in the Idaho County Courthouse in Grangeville.
Michael James Green died at 67 of cancer March 12, 2019 at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The common comment about David E. Statler is he lived life as he wanted. He lived a life of kindness and doing right by the “pack”, those that were either family through relation or like family through relationship. And let’s not forget the dogs he had over the years who were his best buddies, his constant companions and ever loyal to him. Those of us who knew David were lucky. We have years of great stories to tell thanks to the life he led. Quite suddenly he departed us February 27, 2019.
