Hueth collects a double-double, Maniacs claim victory

Tuesday night, Feb. 5 the Orofino Maniacs hosted the Deary Mustangs in a non-league matchup in which Kobe Hueth knocked down 15 points and collected 12 rebounds for a double-double for the Maniacs as they collect the win 54-46.

Six ten forward, Brandton Chatfield, accepted a preferred walk on offer to play basketball for Coach Ernie Kent and Washington State University (WSU).  Chatfield is averaging a double-double this season and was selected Great Northern League All Conference second team last year and first team this season while playing as a Bantam.

On Friday, Feb. 8 the Timberline Spartans traveled to Grangeville to face off in a non-league game against the Bulldogs. Grangeville got an early start and set a good pace to take home the victory 64-24 over the Spartans.

With winter finally showing in Clearwater County the Orofino/Pierce Gun Club turned in their worst score of the season in the Camas Prairie 10 Week Shoot season and fell into third place as the season reaches the midpoint.

Bulldogs JV defeat Spartans

The Timberline Spartans traveled to Grangeville on Monday, Jan. 28 for a non league matchup against the Grangeville JV team. The Spartans were unable to put a stop to Grangeville’s Dane Lindsley and Alex Kaschmitter who established an inside presence for Grangeville as they defeat Timberline 57-50.

Clearwater Valley buries Spartans

The Spartans hosted Clearwater Valley Rams of Kooskia on Thursday, Jan. 31, for a non-league game in which the Rams managed to pile up a 17 point edge over the Spartans and kept things going to collect the victory 52-27. The Rams held the Spartans to single digits in the first three questers.
