Welcome to the Fair and Lumberjack Days

   Orofino Lumberjack Days and the Clearwater County Fair will be held this Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 12-15 at the Orofino City Park in Orofino. Admission to the park is free.

   North Star Amusements carnival rides begin at 4 p.m. Thursday. The carnival opens at noon on Friday, and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

   There will be concession booths at the site all four days.

Friday events

   The Kiddieís Parade will be held at noon Friday in downtown Orofino.

   The 4-H Style Revue and 4-H awards program will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Orofino High School cafeteria.

Saturday events

   The Orofino Volunteer Firemenís breakfast will be held from 6 to 9 a. m. at the Community Center building on Michigan Ave. across from the Post Office, beneath the Pizza Factory.

   The OCI parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Orofino, with Butch and Francine Finke as Grand Marshals and Kyla Cobbs as OCI Queen.

   The annual Ice Cream Social will be held from 1 to 4 p. m. Saturday at the Clearwater Historical Museum at 315 College Ave. There will also be old-time music and dancing. It is open to the public.

   The OCI auction at the logging arena at the park starts at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

   The 4-H Livestock Auction will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the fair barn in the park.

   The Truck Driving and Skidder contests start at 4 p.m. at the DEBCO storage yard area, behind Potlatch No. 1 Federal Credit Union on Michigan Ave.

   The Horse Pull contest will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the log show arena in the park.

   A dance with live music will be held at 8 p.m. at the VFW Hall on Michigan Ave.

Sunday events

   The Orofino Volunteer Firemanís breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. in the Community Center building.

   The free logging show starts at 10 a.m. at the arena in the city park, with contestant sign-in at 8 a.m.
