


Holiday Home Lighting contest lights up Orofino
The Orofino Chamber’s Holiday
Home Lighting Contest took place this past weekend and featured nine well
deserved entrants. Ed Lozar (
“All the homes were decorated beautifully and we had a
really hard time coming up with a winner!” said Bobbi Samuels, contest chair.
Chamber Director Stephanie Deyo is encouraging people to
take time out of their busy holiday schedules and drive through Orofino to see
the record amount of homes that are helping ring in the New Year and add sparkle
to Christmas.

Festival of Trees
The Chamber still has one more Christmas Event taking
place, the Festival of Trees. The
event centers around three
live trees (donated by Reggear Tree Farms) that have been decorated by community
organizations (Clearwater Valley Hospital & Clinics, The Rotary Club of Orofino
and the Kiwanis Club of Orofino) and placed in
These 12 foot, live root ball “Cork Bark Fur” trees are
up for silent auction with the highest bidder winning one of the live trees and
delivery within 25 miles of Orofino. The current bid is $50.
