Love is in the Air” at the High Country Inn

   Melodies of love songs will be in the air at the High Country Inn the evening of Saturday, Feb. 12, with the celebration of Valentine’s for lovers of all ages. The Riendeau’s will honor the inn with a return engagement, bringing with them their collection of love songs to entertain during a lovely candlelight dinner. Becky and Dennis will delight guests with their selections played on flue and piano. This special evening will just be offered once during the weekend, so reservations should be made as early as possible. A choice of entrees should be made at the time of making reservations. Social hour with an hors d’oeuvres tray will begin at 6:30 pm, followed by a plated dinner around 7 p.m. Price of the dinner is $49 per couple, plus tax and gratuity. Overnight Valentine and Presidents’ Day Special!

   Celebrate Valentine’s weekend Friday or Saturday with a special candlelight dinner for two, overnight lodging with deluxe breakfast the following morning, or February 18, 19, or 20, Presidents’ Day weekend, for the special package of $150, plus tax and gratuity. Includes amenities of the hot tub and Catawampus Recreation Room.

Friendship High Tea

   The first high tea of 2011 will be Sunday, February 13 at 2 pm at the inn. Three courses and three different teas served in delicate bone china tea cups and saucers! Our high teas are gaining in popularity, and offer a lovely afternoon of sharing friendship in a wonderful manner on a cozy winter afternoon. Tables are planned to seat eight guests each, and reservations may be made for just one or up to a full table, and we find that everyone enjoys sharing a good time together. Well-behaved children are always welcome at our high teas! The price for high tea is $18, $10 for children under 12 (plus tax and gratuity).
