Fran Erickson, 61, Kamiah

   Frances Ruth “Fran” Erickson, 61, died on Dec. 17, 2009 at her Kamiah home. Fran was born August 22, 1948 at Powell, WY to John and Mary Irene (Boyle) Malliot. Fran grew up in the Big Horn Basin and graduated from High School in Powell. Fran met Marvin Erickson and they were married in Dec. 1970.

   They traveled the country and were blessed with two daughters; Krystal was born in Alabama and Pamela was born in South Dakota. Even though their travels took them many places, they always called Powell, WY home.

   Fran was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was quick to make friends and had a very inviting personality. She loved crafts, was a great seamstress, made wreaths and her hand crafted gifts were always very nice. Fran enjoyed having her cats for company and loved being a grandmother to Jude and Javan.

   Fran was preceded in death by her parents.

   She is survived by her husband, Marvin Erickson of Kamiah; daughters, Pamela Erickson of Cody, WY and Krystal (Jim) Crawford of Orofino; two grandchildren, Jude and Javan; her sisters Mary (Earl) Layne of Brookings, OR and Doris Sievers of Powell, WY; her twin brother, Frank (Patti) Malliot of Deaver, Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews.

   A memorial service was held Sunday, Dec. 20, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kamiah. Trenary Funeral Home of Kooskia assisted the family.
