Glenwood IGA sold to Spokane couple
A Spokane couple has purchased Glenwood IGA from the McGregors, who have owned the store for the past seven years.
The new owners are Dale and Teresa Watson and son Cory, who have a purchased home in Orofino.
The announcement of the sale was made Monday by Archie McGregor of St. Maries. He said Dale Watson, a young retiree, formerly managed Albertson’s in Coeur d’Alene.
McGregor said personnel and policies at Glenwood IGA will remain the same and that he is excited to have sold the store to someone who will be living in the community. He states “it’s a nice opportunity for closer ties to the store owners.”
McGregor, whose family owns grocery stores at St. Maries and Pullman, WA said the new owners at Glenwood IGA are good hard working people that are excited about Orofino and are looking forward to getting involved in the community.
