Water conditions throughout the area have remained clear, and water temperatures range from a cool 35° on the North Fork of the Clearwater, to 42° on the stretch of water from the mouth to the Orofino Bridge. The Snake River from Salmon River to Hells Canyon Dam reports the warmest waters in the region at 54°, with the fewest hours per fish caught.
As of Nov. 15, the steelhead harvest count was reported as follows;
Clearwater River (Mouth to Orofino Bridge) - Out of 192 anglers checked and 1,075 hours fished, 49 fish were kept and 43 fish were released.
Clearwater River (Upstream from Orofino Bridge to Clear Creek) - Out of 33 anglers checked and 175 hours fished, 4 fish were kept and 2 fish were released.
North Fork of the Clearwater - Out of 43 anglers checked and 187 hours fished, 5 fish were kept and 2 fish were released.
Snake (Downstream from Salmon River) - Out of 63 anglers checked and 427 hours fished, 48 fish were kept and 35 fish were released.
Snake (Salmon River to Hells Canyon Dam) - Out of 21 anglers checked and 91 hours fished, 21 fish were kept and 0 fish were released.
