Idaho Department of Correction Veterans Day performances

The Idaho Department of Correction North Region Honor Guard for the first time had the opportunity to do two separate Veterans Day performances this year.

For the fourth year in a row the Honor Guard team did a flag performance at the Kamiah schools celebration in front of a crowd ranging from kindergartners to high school seniors.

This year, for the first time, Timberline High School, outside the City of Pierce, requested the Honor Guard for their Veterans Day celebration. Both performances were appreciated by school staff.

The Idaho Department of Correction North Region Honor Guard was re-established in 2005. It includes staff from two prisons, the North Idaho Correctional Institution in Cottonwood, and the Idaho Correctional Institution in Orofino. The Kamiah and Timberline performances were the team’s 26th and 27th performances since 2005.
