CLEARWATER TRIBUNE HOME

Patchwork Bazaar is December 5

This is a wonderful fundraising event we participate in every year. We have the most wonderful people make handcrafted items that make unique Christmas presents. These folks make everything and donate them for us to sell. They put in their creativity and long hours doing this for us. We appreciate their hard work and dedication.

Please come and see us at the Patchwork Bazaar this year! You will have an opportunity to purchase one of a kind gifts and be giving the gift of rescue. We look forward to seeing you.

Free Spay or Neuter of Pitbull puppies 6 months or younger

In an effort to reduce over population we are again offering free spay or neuter of Pitbull puppies six months or younger. If you have a Pitbull puppy or know of anyone who owns one please pass this information on. We spay & neuter owned dogs & cats whenever possible. The Pitbull is a wonderful breed but like all breeds needs to be altered. All dogs and cats make better pets when they are altered. Please call 476-9823.

Barn buddies: We are extending date of cat trapping

We will be extending our trapping date of the feral cats located by the Methodist Church and Museum Annex on Johnson Ave. We need to have homes for these cats the day they are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. We will trap as we get homes for these adult cats, and we will let you know when all adult cats have been re-homed.

Until then, we recommend keeping your own cats inside at night, as we don’t want to catch any owned cats. If you have any questions you may call 476-9823. We are continuing to take kittens out; they must be removed first so they can be cared for.

The adult cats will then be taken. We’re in search of barn homes for the adult cats. We will spay/neuter and vaccinate them. A barn cat will need to be fed and watered. They are great mousers!

We want to place them and let them live out their natural lives. If you could adopt one or two of these adult cats, please call 476-9823.

Our policy on strays

All stray dogs and cats are vaccinated upon arrival for their safety and the safety of the other dogs and cats. They are also neutered and spayed on the sixth (6) day. All costs are the responsibility of the owner claiming the dog. Strays are held for five (5) days and then are for adoption.

If you find a stray dog, please contain the dog or cat, if you feel it is safe to do so, and then call. Many times I get a call from someone that has a stray but by the time I get there the person calling says the dog ran off. Please contain in a yard or tie the dog until I get there. We want to keep these poor dogs safe and either find their owners or get them a wonderful lifetime home.

All stray dogs and cats are vaccinated and wormed upon arrival for their safety and the safety of the other dogs and cats. They are also neutered and spayed after a five (5) day waiting period. All costs are the responsibility of the owner claiming the dog or cat. Strays are held for five days and then are up for adoption.

If you recognize any of the above strays and know who the owner is, please call. We want to get these wonderful dogs and cats back to their homes. Call 476-9823.
