Thanksgiving Dinner Raffle
The Historic Pierce Cemetery Friends will be sponsoring their 2nd annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner Basket Raffle. The drawing will be Friday, Nov. 21 at the Pierce Community Center during the Holiday Bazaar. The winner does not need to be present to win.
The basket can be delivered locally; otherwise arrangements can be made by calling Patty Goodrich at 464-2333, Cindy Flury at 464-1125 or Cathrine Carlson at 464-2737.
You may also call them for tickets, or purchase tickets at some local businesses and the day of the Holiday Bazaar. All proceeds will go toward future cemetery projects. Hats off to this group, who have dedicated many hours to such a worthwhile project.
Community Center
The 30th annual Holiday Bazaar will be held Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a wonderful selection of gifts, arts, crafts, baked goods and more. Don’t forget to visit your local merchants to sign up for the hourly turkey drawings that will be held at the bazaar!
There are still tables available for vendors to rent, call Brandi at the Center, 464-2443 for more information.
Also coming up is the 2009 Festival of Trees on Friday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. This is a GEM team sponsored gift and decor auction to help fund local projects. Call Carmen at 464-1088 for more information.

Donation cans have been set out at most local businesses, and an account has been set up at White Pine Credit Union.
